I developed a line of drapery hardware in 1995 while working on a traditional "Old World" project which incorporated English antiques. A trip to England inspired the carved elements. As a designer, I search for unique, high quality products to enhance my design and fabric selections. These five finials depict elements which are found in traditional architecture and decorative arts such as acanthus leaves, carved leaves, Celtic knots, the trifoil and Gothic arches. The original models were hand carved in wood, then molded in a wood resin product. The result is an accurate, beautifully and deeply carved product ready for the appropriate finish to enhance your fabric selection. In addition, they are very well priced.
These finials won an ASID Design Excellence Award in 1997 for Product Design and were featured in the Fall 1998 issue of Better Homes and Gardens Window and Wall Ideas magazine.
